Flights to LSUA
There are no direct international flights to Alexandria, Louisiana. Most students fly into a major U.S. airport and take a connecting flight to Alexandria International Airport (AEX).
You may enter the U.S. up to 30 days before the program start date on your I-20 or DS-2019. We recommend arriving a few days before International Orientation to get settled and adjust to the time zone.
If you expect to arrive after the program start date, contact the International Programs Coordinator at ncox@lsua.edu.
Arrival
At the Port of Entry
When you land in the U.S., you’ll go through Customs and Border Protection before your next flight. You must present your I-20 or DS-2019 and answer basic questions about your stay.
This process can take up to 3 hours, so plan enough time between connecting flights.
After customs, retrieve your luggage, go through security, and check your bags again for your final flight to AEX.
